StayTalentReady

Learn it a week before it counts.

The Tech+ Study Track runs one week ahead of Professor Roberts' INT-1010 so you understand each topic before you're graded on it — and finish the semester ready for the CompTIA Tech+ exam. A study application that enhances the PGCC course. It never replaces it.

The standard

Same standard as PGCC. Lessons and gates are due the week they open. Weekly gate quizzes are completed in class to prove you are ready for the next INT-1010 module. 85% on the first attempt in a 24-hour window opens the gate; practice as often as you like after that. Nothing here is submitted to PGCC — Canvas is the official course.

Accommodations. Section 504 and IEP accommodations are honored on every gate and practice exam — extended time, read-aloud, reduced distraction, and alternate formats. Tell Mr. James before your first attempt.

Maryland Blueprint. This track supports the College and Career Readiness standard and the CTE pathway goal of an industry-recognized credential (CompTIA Tech+) before graduation, alongside PGCC dual-enrollment credit.

CompTIA Tech+ (FC0-U71) is the successor to IT Fundamentals (ITF+). The INT-1010 syllabus lists ITF+ as a credit-by-exam option — earning Tech+ may qualify for INT-1010 credit by exam. Confirm with PGCC before you test.
