Know these cold
- Phishing, DDoS, MitM, and SQL injection are the four most-tested attack types; know each one.
- MFA requires two different factor types (know/have/are); passwords alone are insufficient for sensitive accounts.
- HTTPS uses TLS with asymmetric key exchange for session setup, then symmetric (AES) for bulk data.
- Firewalls filter by rule; IDS alerts; IPS blocks; SIEM aggregates — layered defense in depth.
