Know these cold
- IaaS = VMs (you manage OS+); PaaS = runtime (you manage app only); SaaS = fully managed application.
- Public cloud = shared/provider-managed; Private = dedicated/self-managed; Hybrid = both.
- Type 1 hypervisors run on bare metal (ESXi); Type 2 run on a host OS (VirtualBox); containers share the OS kernel.
- 3-2-1 backup rule; RTO = recovery speed target; RPO = data loss tolerance.
