Know these cold
- CompTIA 7 steps: Identify → Theory → Test → Plan → Implement → Verify → Document — in order, always.
- Ping 127.0.0.1 → gateway → 8.8.8.8 → google.com isolates whether the issue is local, routing, or DNS.
- APIPA 169.254.x.x = DHCP unreachable; BSOD stop code = kernel crash; yellow ! in Device Manager = driver problem.
- sfc /scannow repairs system files; ipconfig /renew requests a new DHCP lease.
